Duke of Edinburgh

Cedar Mount Academy is proud to announce that from January 2022 students from Year 9 will be able to enter their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. The scheme enables young people, from all backgrounds to build up a range of skills and experiences to help them reach their full potential and navigate life’s challenges. DofE is a life-changing experience and gives students the opportunity to have fun with friends whilst discovering new interests and talents.

The Duke of Edinburgh is recognised as a mark of achievement and respected by future employers. Students will use their own time i.e. weekends to complete the four sections – physical, skills, volunteering and the an overnight expedition.
